Last Thursday I did some weeding with a polish girl. There were lots of strawberrys under the bad grass. It was important to save them because they are delicious. :p
The dog called Ischka (or it sounds like that...) was really interest of strawberrys, hopely it didn't mush them.

Clearing and building

Clearing and building were the things which we were working during the mot time in the first month, like I said in the last post, we were working in the shelter a lot during the first month, sharing the time with the cutting of the bad grass and putting away all of the rubbish( we will speck about that)

In my opinion this days were the worse of the project, we were starting a project, we didn’t know if we will work alone or if we will have plenty of people working with us, the only thing we had was a very big plot with too much rubbish and things half-finished…because of that at the beginning was a bit unmotivated … but with the pass of the days we were finding help from Bees, squoters”” and volunteer short term, all of they gave as all of the energy we need to carry on, and grateful to them , at the end, we never ljavascript:void(0)
Publishost the motivation to try to built this garden.
Ha ha, sorry, I was listening music at home and ha ha, I was touched and I lost a bit the plot of the post…so, yes, after that, the things I was speaking about was…the first thing Agnes and me thought we had to do was the shelther like I said and the clearing of the whole garden.we though that we could try to involve somebody in the project if when he o she arrive the only thing that he o she could see its a, yes a garden bat the televisions, rubbishes, computers and all of the different kind of rubbish you can imagine… so we start to clean to get a real garden.

Quickly we start to get some help from the short-term, we were rally lucky to cant rely on short term in the firs weeks when the work is more hard.

With we have taken, you can make you a idea about all of the rubbish we took from the garden...

Also, here I show you how the plot was at the beggining of the project... full of bad grass :S

At the end, all of this rubbish finished in the container :P... and everybody happy:D

That's all... I hope to show you more or less a view in general of the garden I didn't find any which I like...

Regards Guille.

Making the shelter

One of our priorities when we were planning about the things to do in the allotment, it was to find a place where we would can save our tools close to the garden, because actually we are taking the tools from the bees garage and carry them until the garden… more o less15 minutes walking… long way for carrying the tools.. :S.

So, we decide to divide the shelter in two different place, one is going to be the shelter which we are speaking about, it will be more or less a rectangular of 2mx5m9Im,or something like that, we think is enough to keep all of the tool we will use, and then the another part of the shelter which we want to be the place to rest, take a tea…a place warm and covered :p. This places will be call the office :P… in fact we have already the telephone…we found it between a lot of rubbish in the garden :D

Anyway, we start very motivated and encouraged to built the shelter,we thought the shelter(only the part of the tools) could be built just in 3 or even 4 days of work, because the only thing we had to do was to carry on with a wall, building the roof and putting a door .You can think that this can be easy for 3 people, even more! because during this days there were a lot of people hleping us, "squoter",short-term volunteer, friends of us...but to be honest, this wall is the devil! We have worked in this shelter, I cant remember how many days, and although it seems already more or less a really shelter, its not finish yet and I think to finish the shelter we need al list 4 or 5 days more :S….

Here I put some photos about the evolution of our shelter, you can make a idea about the work.

Making the shelter...

That was the look of the shelter one of the firsts days of the proyect...

And this one, some time ago...Actually the shelter is better the wall have been developed...

What are we doing…

We have spoken about the garden.. but I think that we didn’t speak to much about the idea that Agnes and me have about how we want t do exactly in the project.

To sum up, the idea we have it is to find a place where everybody can join as, finding a places where enjoy himself working in a garden as well as enjoying in the nature, in a place where they can get relax, to be with different people or doing some activities.

It’s, in general, the idea we have about the garden, but we want as well that everybody can feel involved with the things they what, so we are more than open to another ideas… we want that people came to the garden, propose news ideas to do and them they do it with our help.

Some of the ideas we have already are to build a work-shop, where we will be able to work the wood and to do different thing with this material, to build a game places where we will play different typical games from countries like taba or a French games I cant remember which we have already.

Also, we count with a politunnel ready to grow the vegetables and we are still building the shelter (we will write a post about speaking about the shelter) but the idea is to have the shelter for saving the tools in the garden.
Regards from Guille.

I work at Common Garden, first time when I saw the Common Garden; I said to me “I have only three mounts to work at The Common Garden, I should do something for this garden…” this work important for me. When I work in The Common Garden with Agnes and other volunteers (she is my boss, really. And she is very nervous… Don’t believe me, she is very nice and friendly :)), I feel happy, because I like here. And when I go to The Common Garden, firstly I go to the Polytunnel :) You should see The Polytunnel, we work to hard at polytunnel, firstly we cleaned after that painted then plant to vegetables… if you are volunteer and want to non-volatile things; you should come to The Common Garden.
